(jimmy) 38 years ago my Mom took Andy and I to our first rock concert. It was BTO and STYX. Of course STYX played one of our favorite songs, Lady. Mom was going to get bells for the VFW Little Americans and I was going to learn the song for the corp. We were unable to the bells but I remember my mom telling me “one day Jimmy, You will find your Lady”. A year later, a little Lady named Cori Greenawalt walked into my life through mom’s baton/drum corp. Cori became a part of our family and was loved and adored by us as Cori loved and adored Mom, Dad, Andy and Charleen, and not to mention, ME!! She was my first love. That is when our lives changed forever. Due to family relocations, Cori and I were separated. My mom has since passed away, but I am convinced she has been my guardian angel for all these years. From the heights of Heaven, mom continued to look over me and eventually said “enough is enough” and guided Cori and I back together. I can just see her smile up above the clouds as the fairytale unfolds. I have finally found my Lady, and the life I have always prayed for. Thank you mom!! With you and Andy “Dammit” watching over us, there is NO WAY ANYTHING will ever be able defeat us. We are truly blessed. Happy anniversary baby doll. Thank you for being my Lady and my wife.
