just because Im tired of jorrels crap, I want people to know that I like agents of shield and not because its connected to the marvel universe granted thats part of the reason but theres more to it than that. When the show started out it had a rocky first lap but so did arrow in its first season. until the second half of season one, arrow was painfully boring and the dialog was painful. I always fast forward through the show until the action came along. but now arrow has its footing. I still have problems with the show overall like how they bastardized deathstroke and made him feel generic at the end but these are mistakes I can overlook. as agents of shield started getting its footing, I started being consistently a good show. the acting is good, you have completely new character staring that you end up caring about(a friend of mine loves ward, sky, and fitzsimmons) and the action is really good for a tv budget series. the main complaint I see from AoS haters is that they dont have enough people they know which is changing in season 2 while still keeping true to its original intention of having a fresh team of non powered people be leading roles and still matter/be a part of marvels overall plan for its live action universe. for those who keep saying the show sucks, please note that season one has an 86% score on rotten tomatoes and a 92% so far in season 2. yes its connected but so are the one shots, comic, and game tie ins. that doesnt make it great. what agents of shield is doing along with the netflix series is EXPANDING the MCU. with these shows we are given the chance to introduce as much of the marvel lore as possible without having to cram them all into films and waste time explaining them. this show has given us a chance to acknowledge classic heroes and villains like blizzard, absorbing man, mockingbird, the defenders, and others and still have them matter in the big picture unlike DC who already forsaken two of their most popular live action heroes and their establishing lore. with DC not wanting to connect their TV and movies worlds, its as if they are saying those shows dont really matter as much. we just want ratings so we will stuff our shows with cameos and references to cock tease you guys into watching it. I think flash is a great show so far and would of been a great way to open up the DC universe to new people but they rather not do that and just waste time and money
