just got back from the doctor. the news was good. leave the same cast on for three more weeks. nothing has moved! reduction (setting) is still *perfect*. it was very hard to look at the break on the xrays. seriously, it was horribly bad and i still feel sick to my stomach even thinking of my first glance at my hand; let alone the xray that told the clinical story. that it was set like this and healing like this, without surgery is a miracle for which i am so very very thankful. they are still perplexed by the extraordinary result (they have never seen xrays like this before ...most unusual). when they asked me who did the reduction at the hospital...without wanting to sound weird, i had to tell them Doctor Jesus did this... because i know that i know.... this entire repair, healing, protection, salvation is from him. i then gave the attending surgeons name and expressed thanks. but i DO know that he himself hardly believed what happened in that critical care room! he was so worried and on edge, as were the other four surgeons attending; all telling me it was an extremely bad break. after it was set the were all smiles and all waiting for the mri. when the mri results came, it was like a party in that room. i heard the word lucky, lucky, lucky many times over from ear to ear smiling surgeons; especially the one who did the reduction. there is no one but Jesus who made this possible and ill never be able to express how thankful i am. all i can say is thank You Lord for Your awesome mercy. power, and good will toward making me whole again. thankful for good doctors who God uses to do His work! no detraction from their talent! there is much i cannot wrap my head around regarding the timing of this; right before an amazing trip that i was so so ecstatic about taking. but what i do know is that Jesus loves me and i can trust Him even when things dont go how i feel they should. what i also know is that so many people are hurting, in pain and need of healing, prayer and some are even in need of great deliverance. we have an enemy and he is not God. we live in a fallen world where accidents happen and things are not perfect. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil! Jesus asked ... Is it easier to say to the paralyzed man Your sins are forgiven, or Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk? my prayer is that the Lord will grant me favor to preach the Gospel that is like a fire shut up in my bones...and my prayer is toward that desire. because really we have an enemy; A TOTALLY DEFEATED ENEMY...and the whole world needs to know! THURSDAY!
