just heard this from my mechanic, the reason my 1KZ TE is over heating....linear protrusion which means the piston may be protruding ever so slightly causing sudden heat increase under boost but temp will drop rapidly when you come off the boost. The fix for this is to take the head off again and get Ian at headmasters to measure the protrusion and supply us with a thicker head gasket. Anyone had this issue before?
