just imagin if you suddenly got a chance to,meet your favourite pop icon what would be your reaction dag! weve all seen the kind of.stories that air in the.press and appear in.the dailies when acts like shaggy the game chris brown akon and the likes of jamaican reggae artists come to town folks literaly line up and spend as much time and energy huting.for that elusive back stage ticket just so they can meet and.greet their star and get the rarely seen photo of them and that.dude chilling together dag! and what about those kids who sing the song i want to meet my star one day then mommy and daddy tell them boy you aint going no place so get to know this just imagin the stress levels dag! to these teens such occasions are so monumental they rather quite living than miss seeing capleton live on stage.dag! what a waste for precious nothing! what the bible say that in the days of old mothers like hannah would.do anything to get a kid even to the extent of being called drunkards coz they prayed with lips moving but no words came out and what was the point of such hearty petitions that God would give them a son that would.be the next major prophet and in those days the word of God was so rare that men would travel from near and far just to hear a word from yahweh via his prophet now in the new testament times such men had become non exsistant that any word that seemingly.came.from iconic.figures like the pharisees and the temple rulers was concidered with high esteem and its in this back drop that jesus came this time drawing massive crouds by his eloquence of speach and his ability to.perform miracles no wonder the greeks who had heard of him also wanted an audience with him dag! so small wonder that men of the calibre of the rich young ruler came to jesus asking for the way to eternal life and like all men of his time and ours tended to justify themselves by their adherence of the law so jesus asked him a qn based on the same law since by admission he had kept all the law yet jesus found him wanting when it came to the.most crusial one that of.having no.other gods before the one.true.God dag! and nichodemus coming to meet jesus at night coz he did not want to be assossiated with the jesus movement said that it was.clear that no one.would be able to do what jesus was doing if he.was not heaven sent yet when jesus brought up the issue of.being born again nichodemus.wanted to.know how one could reenter his mothers womb dag! and the croud that jesus feed followed him just coz they wanted another miracle of.happy meal so jesus told them to go.home what the word say that men of this time and indeed ours knew.how.to.predict the weather and could tell from the clouds it was about to.rain but were totaly blind in telling the sign of the son of man dag that.a wicked and perverse generation asks for.signs and wonders but.none.will.be.given.apart from the sign of.jonah dag! that men looked forward to.meeting prophets who came of their own accord but when jesus came in the name of the father dudes despised him so that the saing became.true that no prophet is welcome in his home town dag! but when men like zacheus climbed that sycamore tree to see him jesus said come down for today i must dine with you and when zach admitted to everyone that he was a no good fraudsrer jesus said that he to.was a son of abraham and today salvation has entered his house dag! small wonder they called jesus a friend of sinners and tax collectors dag! its not to the healthy that jesus came but to those in need of a pyhsician ... that yahweh.uses those things that are not to put to.and end those that are and picks the despised things.of this earth.to.put to shame.the strong.ones.dag! :-)
