just posted this comment on news24: The Government is never going to combat corruption. Their efforts are clearly to PERFECT it! In reality - the Government is committing corruption with itself. I will explain - most of the cases of corruption consist of Government officials setting up companies they, or their families are registered owners and then awarding the non-tendered business deals to themselves! No checks are done as THEY sign the cheques to pay themselves and draw a salary that we pay them via our taxes to do the job diligently and within the law. It is estimated that not one department, office or section of National, Provincial, or local Government structures run by the ANC Alliance has not been tarnished with corruption [and that includes all the Parastatals].
