just read it. Who am I to address one as wonderful as Him? It’s a vulnerable thing to admit, but truth is many of us feel the same way. We find ourselves so unworthy to talk to God, that we actually work to protect our hearts through religion. We pray the same phrases. Ask for the same things, read the Bible intellectually, interested by the formation of Jesus’ parables, but not allowing our emotions get involved because it means being reminded again of the contrast of His beauty and our filth. ... Our existence is possible only by the desire of God to have someone to share in His love. To know that the same love for which God loves himself, is the same love for which He loves us. We aren’t just dirty sinners that He cleaned up because He is kind. We are the very ambition of His heart. I am the aim of His delight, even amidst the brokenness I feel and enact. This is who we are. ..Instead Jesus becomes the aim of our heart and actions since we are the aim of His heart and actions.
