just saw 12 years of slavery with my son.. i covered his eye for several scenes that were such brutality of good xtians beating, whipping, raping innocent Black folk. i am SO sickened. i am fortunate to not be related to any of the oppressors of any time or culture. just the oppressed. the religious fascistic zealots of today REALLY need to do some soul searching. they are the SAME kind of people that perpetrated the abuse of the planet on these African tribal nations with ultimate savagery and brutality. and YOU are headed in the exact same direction as this. wake up. your childrens souls depend upon it. religion is a LIE.
