just some thoughts/opinions I wanted to share about the art of portrait and wedding photography. Personally, as an artist, I want each clients shoot to be unique. I try very hard not to copy my past shoots 100 percent. Although places and poses might be the same, I try to give them each, their own mood. I have had several people say to me I want that exactly or why doesnt the sky in my shoot look like the one in the last shoot you did?. Well the above statement is one reason. Also, skys and weather changes. Even if we use composites and add a different sky, fact remains that a cloudy sky will cast different light/color on the subject, than a blue sky/full sun day will. To me, photography should never be cookie cutter, or assembly line. You can go to olan mills or some other place to get exact replicas of someone elses shoot. Good, artistic and creative photographers, will try to fine tune your shoot to YOU, and use the current weather/light/sky/location for the best outcome in the most unique way possible :)
