REGULATORY SPECIALIST III POSITION #79000794 Hiring Salary: $30,988.62 annually (non-negotiable) The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is the agency charged with licensing and regulating businesses and professionals in the State of Florida, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, real estate agents and pari-mutuel wagering facilities. Our mission is to license efficiently, regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operation. The Division of Service Operations manages the Central Intake and Licensure Unit, the one-stop shop for intake of applications and payments. The Division also oversees the Customer Contact Center, which handles all initial interaction conducted via telephone and email. This position works within the Customer Contact Center as a Regulatory Specialist III (RSIII). The RSIII responds to customer inquiries by providing general licensing status information and requirements for DBPR regulated professions and businesses. Specific duties include: Provides written responses to incoming emails to the Customer Contact Center in a courteous and professional manner, assesses customer’s inquiry and provides accurate responses in accordance with department’s policies and procedures as well as Florida Statutes and Rules. Responds to email requests regarding all DBPR licensing matters or requirements, continuing education requirements, requests for public records and other information Escalates issues needing action for resolution and/or at customer requests by the use of available CCC resource for further and detailed research and resolution. Reviews information in VersaReg, Onbase, DBPR’s intranet site and/or internet site as well as statutory laws and rules to provide responses to customer inquiries. Updates CRM with accurate and current information, updating records with information pertinent to each e-mailer/caller including name, e-mail address and other pertinent information regarding customer’s inquiry and the resolution offered. When a need arises at the Customer Contact Center, answers incoming calls to the Customer Contact Center in a courteous and professional manner, assesses customer’s inquiry and provides accurate responses in accordance with department’s policies and procedures as well as Florida Statutes and Rules. Position Qualifications: At least one year of Customer Service experience, preferably in handling written correspondence. Preference will be given to those applicants that are bilingual, preferably in Spanish. Position Notes: This is primarily an email agent position answering email inquiries primarily related to DBPR regulated professions and businesses.
