The hospital was originally founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. With 396 beds, Peace is one of the one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in the nation. The Children’s Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of child/adolescent inpatient psychiatric care in the country. Our Lady of Peace operates a full continuum of services for patients from young children to seniors, with a special emphasis on psychiatric care for children and adolescents, including several special needs programs. Patients come to Peace from all over Kentucky and the surrounding region, including eleven other states. Our Lady of Peace currently has an opening for a full time Behavior Analyst. This position will join an excellent team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts providing behavior analytic services within the Innovations program. This program serves children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities who also display acute challenging behaviors. In this role, the Behavior Analyst will be responsible for conducting functional assessments, developing individualized behavior plans and providing staff and caregiver training. The Behavior Analyst will work within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals that include Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Educators, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Workers. In addition to individualized intervention plans, the Behavior Analyst will assist with the development of general program protocols and improvement initiatives. The applicant’s interests, skills and experience will be considered when determining case load assignments. Experience working with families, providing staff training and conducting functional analysis assessments is preferred. Position Requirements • Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy and/or BCBA eligible • Must complete and pass the BCBA exam within 1 year of the date of hire. • Candidate must be able to complete CPR and obtain CPR certification upon hire • Candidate must able to complete and pass Safe Crisis Management training upon hire o CPR and Safe Crisis Management training provided during orientation training after hire.
