knowledge, In the New Testament the writers used more than one Greek word, when using this English word knowledge. It is important to understand which one they used at a particular time, and why they used it. This cannot easily be conveyed in a typical church service, Mana gakwa Church oooo! For example in 2 Peter 1:5-6: In his second letter the Apostle Peter, (written whilst he was on death row, awaiting execution), urged his follows (and now us), amongst other things to add to our faith virtue, and our virtue knowledge.... Here he used the word, gnosis for knowledge. What does it mean, and why did he use that word here? Notes: -Add to your faith virtue; he is saying add to your faith, moral energy, or the power to do right. - add to your faith knowledge( gk Gnosis), which is knowledge you obtain through mental activity intellectual prowess. He was referring to being erudite; He wanted His children to become erudite or knowledgeable and that is important. He does not want any dummies or flops. In short He is saying, be smart, be informed. He is saying, to your faith add, intellectual soundness. God has given us, a sound mind, and He wants us to use, and develop it.... For people will perish for lack of knowledge!!! ...this is bible. Still showing ppl how i became financially and intellectually empowered, ask me how!!!
