knows we probably need the rain and all, both meteorologically and spiritually speaking, but would just like the bloated heavens to at least stop beating up on our beloved semi-canopied roads trees. Driving home late this morning, digging on the radio, while concurrently whistling a different happy tune, Craig Jackson was yanked from his bliss when a good-sized all night fireplace log, soaking wet and seeking sweet freedom, fell from the treasured oak overhead, hard and heavy on the hood, right in front of the drivers side of the windshield. Just milliseconds later in real time, but with CJs diaper bout dirtied and heart near exploded, the might as well be a cinder block dropped from a highway overpass mercifully rolled off the windshield without shattering the glass!! Whew!!! It was several minutes before it struck me that, while the already beloved new used Subaru may have saved my life, or at least my face- as who can say if, in a different vehicle, the worst case scenario crash or permanent injury might have happened-, in some ways my sweet Samurai Sue B. Roo in fact put me in jeopardy...I mean, with a model name like Forester, its like this compact SUV is just TRYING to piss the trees off!! ;) Peace, friends.
