labor or rather david cunlife has promised if elected to bring in a law which will mean that if a man is accused of rape then he will have to prove his innocence. in essence guilty until proven innocent. i know rape is a sensitive issue but we cant use emotive reasoning to justify taking away peoples sovereign rights and protection under the law. i was open to the idea of voting for the internet party this election year but now im unlikely to because it runs a risk of a coalition with labor which could give labor the majority and see them in power. i consider this a very series and dangerous thing. this isnt me pandering for national votes. but i strongly suggest that if you are going to vote for labor or any party with which it could possibly form a coalition and you care about equality of legal rights then you make it clear that you dont support this bill.
