last night while discussing first day of school Me: So how did it go Mekhi: It was alright Me: just alright? What was the best part? Mekhi: Getting the sports sign up papers and my Life Science teacher is kinda funny Me: was everything else decent? Mekhi: I focused on my classes mom and making sure I didnt forget anything I had to bring home. Im gonna try to do things different this year Me: What do you mean Mekhi: Im going to focus on my school work better instead of the negative kids. Last year no matter how hard I tried to be their friend the worse it was, this year I am going to do the opposite. I hope if I play sports they will accept me but I know now even if they do it wont be the same. So I am going go in with my head high and always smile, I think it will be harder for them to be mean if they cant break my smile. They dont deserve my anger, its mine. They dont deserve my sadness, its mine. Right mom? Me: Thats right bud, but everyone deserves a smile. A smile changes everyones day..even the mean rotten ones with foul mouths and bad attitudes. Sometimes no matter what they say to anger you just have to smile and walk away.... Arnold: Hey wait a minute is that why you always smirk at me when we have a spat Me: of course not sweetheart (winks at Mekhi) and we laughed and laughed Laughter can cure it all and sarcasm of course
