....like the Thanksgiving tradition of saying what you are thankful for, everyone must do that at the table...every year my crotchety old grandmother would say.Well, I am thankful that I am here, but most probably I will be dead by next year...(she lived to like 96) This went on for like 10 years until one year when my Uncle Jim, fueled by too many Egg nogs, asked her Julie, when are you going to make good on that promise. You say that every year. We ate in silence and I am pretty sure my Uncle spent a month on the couch for insulting his mother in law.
