The Refit /Conversion project is a 73m, (gross ton 2290) built in Holland to be used as tug boat, sold to Russia and used as a spy vessel. Then converted in 2003 for Euro 50.0 Million to a luxury charter explorer yacht; due to her solid construction and ice breaker status she is able to go anywhere and was once chartered privately by a Russian to take his guests to the Antarctic. She has had an interesting history. For the past five years she has been in port in Genoa, after being repossessed by a Swiss bank when the owner defaulted on his loan. She had a small fire which damaged the bridge and owner’s suite; these two areas need to be completely refitted. The rest of the yacht is sound and in extremely good condition. She could also do with a new external paint job and a few minor touch ups on the deck. I have obtained estimates from shipyards in Europe and Dubai for the work that is necessary (which includes all new navigational equipment for the bridge). Over the past five years, the Bank has had a crew of 5 on board at all times to maintain her, turn over the engines and keep the systems going etc. There is also the possibility of extending her to add more value to the Yacht.
