Jo satta me aaya hai Vah apna itihas likhta hai. Pandavas did d same in mahabharat, and balmiki did likewise in ramayan. You can see it happened in India. 1857 freedom struggle was called a mutiny by the Britishers, but Mr savarkar named that struggle as the first war for independence. Britisher did not accept that incident as a war. So there will always be a difference between oppressor and oppresseds perspective. since long before 1947 congress was a political party which was involved in elections and power games. Many times congress made governments in various states before independence. And mind you congress was not the only party there. So off course congress leaders were shielding Gandhi by any which ruse. And then congress got the power after freedom, making it impossible for the truth to come out in open. They created their own so called secular scholars whose sole responsibility was to produce works to hide the real Gandhi. Gandhi was congress and it would not have appeared nice to have black spots on the personna of Nehru and Gandhi. (With thanks to dear Aarya Pratihara)
