lol ... by the time i typed this, the post had been removed .... My take on the FG knot I tie a loop in the end of the braid, stick the rod in the holder with a good bit of drag set, then loop the end over my big toe putting a bit of bend in the rod (not too much) then i lay the leader over the line and then pass it around the back of the braid below then above (make sure youve got the wraps going the same way ... always behing or always infront) whilst doing this i pull a little on the leader to put a bend in the braid, it makes it easier to keep neat you have to pull a bit of tension on the leader to keep it straight (the smaller the leader the more you need to pull it) I wrap about 15 times each under then over, then I pinch the not as close to the loose ends as i can and unhook the big toe, then an overhand half hitch followed by and underhand half hitch (making sure you go around the leader...i make 3 sets of half hitches then i pull the knot tight ... then i do 3 more half hitch doubles (underhand + overhand) ... pull these up firm but not too tight, they are not to hold the knot but to protect the main line from the edge of the end of the leader ... then i cut off the tag ends braid as close the knot as possible and the leader about a mm from the braid, i then protect the braid by holding the knot in my finger tips with the end of the leader poking though my two fingernails, then bring a lighter close to the end (not too close) just close enough to give the slightest mushroom to the end of the leader .... BEST Knot I have ever used for leader to braid ... glides through the smallest of eyes with the greatest of ease, i have NEVER had this not break and ive loaded it up pretty hard truck loads of times
