looking for a talented Senior Architect. Design Director at XYZ Designers Requirements: At least 10 years of experience, 3 Years in UAE with international firms. Education Graduate (B. Architecture / M. Architecture) Core Job Description • Take lead in technical matters as well as project management. • Provide design solutions and leading the project(s) from inception to various stages until handover. • Specification writing up to date knowledge of materials and their applications. • Lead / supervise production of detailed drawings. • Knowledge of updated authority regulations & relevant standards & codes. General Expectations • Using CAD / BIM in design. • Collaborate with other team members to determine design needs and requirements for the project. • Supervision of design team, necessary review, corrections and guidelines. • Liaison with local authorities and attend to necessary technical meetings with authorities. • Evaluation of project scope of works and assist in the preparation of proposals. • Arrange meetings to review proposals and plans, making modifications or revisions as required. • Prepare & maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of meeting, notes etc. • Allocation, distribution and follow up of task within the team, checking of works produced. • Coordination with other disciplines and external team members (suppliers / sub-consultants). • Works closely with relevant external parties and clients to ensure timely delivery according to plan. • Preparing and presenting design proposals to the client. • Traveling to the various sites to complete physical inspections and site surveys (If required). • Assist in preparing tender applications, presentations & negotiations with contractors (If required). • Assist HR in technical interviews during recruitment of staff in Architectural department. • Keep on learning new skills, updated information and take necessary trainings as per modern practices in the relevant field and share with team and other disciplines organization wide.
