looks like the democrat/progressive vote has shot itself in the foot by being too fragmented and diversified (as i had been concerned they might) and henry waxmans long-standing seat in a heavily democrat area may be taken by the republican candidate. i truly hope i wont be able to say i told you so in the morning..... with 33% not yet reporting the republican (thankfully) has only a 2.1 % lead over the nearest democrat. to some extent williamson may be the equivalent of nader to ted lieus gore circa 2000. a GOP representative for the peoples republic of santa monica —bizarre! reminds me of how enthusiastic i was about nader as an alternative to the two corporate parties etc - thankfully the stakes are slightly lower in this case! 8 years of bush was a REAL drag.
