I often think that people feel like giving choices fails if their child doesnt choose one and move on happily... but in reality our children dont always like the limits we set and they wont always accept the choices we offer and thats ok. Its ok if they need to release their frustrations about this... that doesnt make it a failure, in fact its a sign of success - youve set a limit, offered a respectful choice and are now allowing your child to express their feelings, whatever they may be.
