#lovevolunteers :) Seems to be the most appropriate way of starting todays post. We certainly had a full board today and it was great given it was our first reverse/backward run in a long time. Thank you all for your time today, we really do appreciate it. So, who did we have? On the hooter was Ruby Gardiner, on the clock was Juliette Baxter, Tokenating was Kate Gardiner, checking you in were the double team of Rachael Robinson and Emily James. Out on course trying to keep you pointing in the right direction were Kirsty Faust, Steve (Club 50) Ashman, Jackie Humphreys, Trudi Pike, Scott Magee, Tracey Shepherd and Richard Evans. Recording todays pain on his camera was Adam Ealses. The family of Corby parkrun shone bright this morning with everyone egging Paul Humpo Humphreys round on his last run as a 49 year old and thanks to some loud cheering and excellent pacing by John Eales, Paul got his early birthday present of a new PB - 24:50. Well done Paul. Next week we expect you to post your first PB as an old fart!! We would also thank Paul and Jackie for the birthday muffins and treats they brought to celebrate Pauls big day (which is on Tuesday BTW). Its always a delight to hand out the Club Tees and today was our first Club 50 T-shirt to Steve Ashman. Well done to you Steve, heres to club 100 :) So, on to other matters. What did you think of running the course backwards? Easier? Harder? Were interested, let us know. Well be running this way for a few weeks until we can reach a resolution with Corby Borough Council on the gravel trap and fence issue. 86 crossed the finishing line to take a time today. Well done to all of you. There were some really great efforts being put in out there but we do applaud you all :) First finishers today? For the ladies, first over the line was Amanda Marlow in what we think is a PB of 23:50 - great running Amanda, well done. For the chaps, first time first finisher was Sam Pole in 19:22, congratulations Sam well done. Results have been processed and uploaded so should be with you shortly. Can we remind everyone that you need to have a barcode to get a time and you need a scannable barcode. We cant scan barcodes off phones or soggy paper. Please either laminate your barcodes or go to ERS and purchase a plastic barcode or one of the new wristband barcodes. A decent barcode makes things move quicker, reduces the after run work our volunteers have to do and will mean you get your time. Have a great weekend everyone, thanks for your support today. Good luck to all those running in the Peterborough Half Marathon tomorrow or any other event you may be doing. Mr Humpo - have a great birthday whatever youre up to we hope youre spoilt rotten. See you next week, same time, same place, same direction!!! Andy #loveparkrun
