It was tracked in a night and I decided to be experimental and gimmicky and see if I could achieve a warmer or vintage tone (forgive the subjective terminology). So I recorded everything with a single mono fathead II. I figured the older sound is typified by musicians gathered around a single mic, so maybe the fathead ii would be a good choice because of its figure 8 pickup pattern to capture more of the room, and its frequency response caps at 18k so it would also serve to be naturally warm
