macrotrends.net/1307/lots-of-inflation-not-so-many-new-jobs If we raised the Minimum Wage to 18 bucks an hour the government would take in twice as much money in taxes. We could do it .25 cents per quarter which would be $120.00 per person per quarter more in company payroll. If you look at this graph of Non-Farm Payroll compared to The Consumer Price Index you will see that Inflation has risen but peoples salary have stayed the same. Our government needs this extra capital to run the country. Immigration. Its hurting us as a nation when 40% of the population work Construction and there not paying taxes, and 40% are doing minimum wage and not getting paid as much as this chart says they should be making. Thats around 80% of the population either not paying taxes and working under the table or not being payed enough. If we raise minimum wage it would get people wanting to get into these better paying jobs. People would start looking for real jobs as a result of the wage increases. A lot of people that would rather work under the table will realize that in 9 years it will be profitable to be in these jobs and the overall people with normal jobs number will skyrocket per capita. That will increase the governments revenue and help them pay our bills. The number of people who used to make a lot more money changed creating a reduction in income for the feds based on the intake of taxes. All along Inflation has been going up. We are in a pickle cause we need the extra income that would have come with a normal rate of tax growth and we have the opposite. We really need to focus on making every men women and child in America an American citizen and getting them involved in the system.
