man, i hadnt made any biscuits for ever, it seems like.. i got the cheapest self rising flour i could the other day at wally world, and melted some shortening, and mixed it in with some milk and a little cream... these are the best biscuits i ever made in a long while.. the secret i found, is when u cut ur biscuits out, dont re roll your dough... just take the pieces and add them to the pan.. be sure to coat the tops as well as the bottoms.. and my gravy is homemade to.. fresh German tomatoes from my son, and sausage..it is the cheapest .. u dont need a name brand of anything.. or i dont..:) what a breakfast... :).. and the coffee.. ahhh
