man.. shit nights sleep.. blaming Pink Floyd. Watched (another blinding) BeeB4 doc-o last night on; Wish You Were Here .. Went to sleep with it running around my brain.. woke up at 2 with it ringing in my ears.. came out to lounge and picked up guitar in the hope it might reset the feedback loop.. pretty much reproduced the opening salvo by ear from memory without listening to the tracks.. Ok, Ive listened to it plenty in my youth but HOW THE HELL do you write something so etched into someones consciousness that they appear to remember every nuanced part of the (guitar) backing synth and modulation, bass and drum parts too.... and then the riff... .... it dawned on me.. it wasnt a restless conscious, it wasnt a compulsive psychosis keeping me awake...
