management of meal time meltdowns : sometimes when its meal times and Tink is hungry she has meltdowns . she did tonight and when she starts to have one even though the food is infront of her she cant eat because of the meltdown wich the hunger was the cause of her meltdown . This happend tonight and heres how i handled it . As Tink was reacting i observed and waited for any brief pause and tagged it . Tink now asociates the tag with success wich gives her a feel good factor . evertime i tagged a brief pause the pauses got longer and Tink got calmer . after awhile she was then calm enough to concentrate on eating . at first it was one bit of food followed by back to reacting . i carried on tagging the brief pauses but i also tagged food in mouth everytime to . eventualy the meltdown stopped and i carried on tagging the food in mouth a littlle bit more . the result was Tink calmly eating her food untill gone and is now sat calmly watching her programs and a empty plate in front of her . Dureing all this i never said a single word . i didnt need to the TAG said all i needed . @thisishowweroll :)
