many of you know my brother didnt come home on the plane with all his buddies.. he was being transported on a different plane fighting for his life many times they didnt know if he would make it,... I am never going to forget watching all the families greeting the soldiers as they walk off the plane and knowing my brother wasnt getting off.. the first time I saw mike he wa sleeping with tubes all over and bandages covering a lot of injuries.. My first thought was to just hug him and tell him I love him.I comforted my mom in the hall as she sat there and watched her baby fighting for his life. That day would change us all forever....whether he could hear me or not from that day forward I would not miss a surgery out of the 100s it seemed he had I would wait outside the OR for him with my mom who wouldnt leave his side .and pray hard.... I am thankful he lived and came out with the belief that he wouldnt change anything and would do it again and if he could change anything it would be to save sgt Pickett...Melvin Kearney I love you Michael
