The list is provided to the 3 million annual visitors to Arlington so they may easily locate the grave site of this American hero and other historical figures such as Audie Murphy, Joe Louis and 21 other historical figures currently on the list. Currently, a high level Arlington Committee is reviewing the names on the current list of notable grave sites. Now is the time to accomplish the mission of adding LTC Urban to this important list. LTC Urban is high on the list for possible addition. However, his selection for final inclusion is not guaranteed without your help. A final decision will be made in late April or early May of 2014. You can help the cause by going to the MUMC website and sending your endorsement directly to the History Department at Arlington. An easy to complete online form will allow you to add your name and personal comments in support of this effort. You will receive a personal acknowledgement of receipt from Arlington within several days. This is the best opportunity in years to get LTC Urban the recognition which he deserves and to increase public awareness of his personal contribution and sacrifice for American freedom during World War II.
