message to missy layfield , the Fort Myers Beach editor at the island sandpaper. Missy published this week in her own newspaper, which she owns, decided to write a story about our water. no it wasnt necessarily in defense of our fight for clean water, yet more of misinformation and fear of facing the truth. once again this town Fort Myers Beach has taken on the stance of everythings fine here theres nothing wrong with the water, down to the local media sources who actually own the papers, and write the editorilas. her take towards the flesh eating disease ,short vibro, was 1almost to mock the situation. a day before her story ran, reports surfaced the BP oil spill was connected to the vibro flesh eating disease in the water. its very strange that our own island voice of the newspaper, would rather downplay the death of many so far this year and last year, rather than bring to the attention the actual truth of the real-time dangers involved in this flesh eating disease. I know Ill lose a lot of friends over this, yet Missy, the island sandpaper owner and editor, has now become the number one target on my list to continuously expose the truth for clean water. I will be writing every turn for truth as my own editorial to the sandpaper this week, using factual information, spelling out a case of why we fight, and refusing to sit back n let somebody local, w influence, and would say nothing is wrong with our water publicly, even though our county Lee County Florida, has already had one confirmed death to the flesh eating disease..Missy, you are wrong. trust me I understand why you do this, tourism is our number one money maker, and just like jaws the movie, you and many more on Fort Myers Beach are taking on the mayors role in the movie Jaws as we activists are sheriff Brody. you can ignore or hide the shark forever, until someone gets bit. this woman who wrote this piece I consider a friend, yet as a clean water activist, I certainly whole heartedly feel its my personal obligation to speak out the truth. Im not an actor this to hurt feelings, Im an activist to save our environment. please read the island sandpaper this week and simply judge for yourself. you can also look up online. the island sand paper Fort Myers Beach Florida Google. look for the article, hows our water. if I choose to do nothing, then I too am a part of the problem.
