mine, mine, mine, mine, mine... LOL I am completely baffled by people who call themselves scientists and deny cognition in other species near the level of our own. This is not determined by the number of levels one can think on at the same time, but by an independent point of conceptualization which will later be frustrated by the limits on our input, output, and translation functions. The conceptualizing can be quite complex, but the other functions will limit how far reason can venture into what is not seen. Travel is the most complex coupling of associations we perform. To link where you are to another location miles away, through the series of connecting steps is alone a measure of complex cognition. What scientists refer to as imprinting, is nothing more than a function we all call memory.
