moaning artists complaining about not being paid, who do they think they are? Van Gogh, Never in the whole of the history of humankind have so many artists been so well paid, never has it seen like such a lucrative career path, from teaching at art schools to selling work, never have there been so many private & public galleries and foundations showing such rubbish with seemingly no correlation between greater funding and greater artistic quality. the scandal is that vast amounts of funds are being poured into fine art to the detriment of other arts like poetry, literature, dance, music.... - why is a good painting worth tens of millions and a good poem 10p? Art should be pursued for its own sake and not in pursuit of wealth. Why should artists be paid to put their work on display?> Why shouldnt dog walkers with attractive dogs? how about people with beautiful cars - should they be paid for lightening up dull roads? how about getting beautiful people of the cat walk and onto the streets? or paying people who dress well?
