morning peeps!! what a great weekend!! lots of fun times with friends from all over :-) hope everyone is enjoying too! today, lunch and a fundraiser for a terrific cause at the Eagle this afternoon--for anyone who wants to join, or even just hang with the gang for a while--cause it seems like the whole crowd will be there :-) and one other thing, which was prompted by a conversation with a friend yesterday... try to surround Yourself with things and people that make You happy. let what brings You down or makes You less happy go. by that i dont mean that You will never be down. of course You will have moments where You are not smiling, where You are sad. it is how You deal with those times that is significant. let them wash through You, acknowledge and respect them, but dont linger on them, move through them, wave :-) and most importantly, dont put Yourself in situations that allow such emotions to affect You... case in point... music... a biggie for me... i appreciate all kinds of music, from many diverse genres--even though i do have my favorite type, which is likely described by most as dance however, i dont listen to music that brings me down, makes me sad, depressed, weighs on me, allows thoughts to creep in that are ultimately not good for my psyche. as an example, i loved Nothing Compares to U by Sinead OConnor but i havent listened to it in probably over a decade. its a sad song. i have no need of that. its also got other problems, in that its slightly co-dependenty. also dont need to have that kind of crap running through my head. an amazing love song is one thing, when it expresses love, intimacy or passion, the beautiful union that two or more can be, both united yet distinct (as only a gemini like me can be! ;-)) music with negative or depressing vibes is not on any of my playlists. i understand it has a place, but its not in my head. this also applies to other mediums like movies (or TV, or the web, or games, or hobbies, or or or). i cannot watch Silence of the Lambs again, probably ever. yet it is one of my top movies of all-time. simply brilliant. but it is soooo dark and gloomy and horrible. i know the movie. i appreciate what it presented. but that is all i need of it now ;-) my music is up, it makes me dance and sing in the shower. it makes me smile, makes me want to make others smile. it helps me fly, and Be exactly who i am, and i am a Man of Peace, a vessel of Love & Light. We each are. what wonderful potential... so just using music as one example of things that could affect Your moment to moment perspective on the world, start figuring out what You need in Your life to support You achieving and Being all You are present to Be. We are all in this together. You are never alone. neither am i :-) and a song that might help... are You ready to receive ;-) beautiful video too, watch the progression of the peoples faces through the video--but ooooooooooo! these lyrics :P Peace & Music https://youtube/watch?v=zOyuxzvWybc
