most people wont agree that music is a drug, because most people listen to music. Music is a drug. Its purpose is to alter your mind and your mood. Nevertheless I think that most people dont really pay attention to the lyrics which probably 90% of the time only the artist understands. What mesmerizes us and holds our attention is the beat which we hear constantly, repeatedly, incessantly over and over all day long. The same songs on t.v., the radio and especially when we go to the grocery store, the gas station, resturants, etc. We are bombarded with music. We need it to get in the mood to make love, to do our homework and when we are driving. We can not tolerate silence. We need constant noise incessant mindless chatter, total diarhea of the mouth and brain. We recite lyrics that we dont understand, lyrics that dont make sense. Music soothes us, makes us forget about our problems, and motivates us. Music makes us mindless zombies, numbs us to the reality of the world. The world is too painful, too real. Music blocks out the world, drowns it out with sound meant to obliberate all feeling... #God_Bless_Music...
