mq: Hello. I know how busy you ladies are. This is regarding shared custody and the stresses that come along with it. Does anyone else have shared custody? I have had shared cusrody of my son for 2 years now. He is with me Monday-Friday, with Dad on werkends. My little guy has been having a hard time coming back home to me. I know why. When he is with Dad its all fun and games. With me we go to Pre-K, five days a week. We do lots of reading and writing. Mommy is more business than play, but I do make sure to keep things light and I always find time for fun. I chose joint custody over suing for full custody because Dad is a good dad, and my son would have been devastated if he couldnt see Dad. I grew up never seeing my father, I dont want that for my son. So, basically I need some support regarding when he comes home to me and he screams and cries that he wants to stay with Dad. I feel horrible. I know it is because with Dad it is all fun, but it still makes me feel horrible. Once he has calmed down, he is ok. He misses Dad, but he settles in and then he is ok. I just feel like I am hurting my son and that I am putting too much stress on him. Any advice as to how I can make the transition from Dads to back home a little easier? Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. I am just so sad that my son seemingly hates coming home.
