mr. cain, first of all minimum wage may have been intended to be a starting wage but, that is not what it has become. You make the statement that many that start at minimum wage move up based upon performance, this is true in some cases but, for the most part is a myth. Many employers refuse to pay more than the minimum period. If in fact wages were based on performance, we would not have CEOs making Millions at the head of corporations that, had to be bailed out. More than 49% of Americans now live at or below the poverty level, 6 million American children go to bed hungry every night while our government supports the largest corporate welfare system in the free world. When Reagan took office, the wealthiest could pay up to 70%, when he left office that was down to 28%, a 42% reduction. In 2013 the majority of large business and wealthy paid in the 12.5% range with many paying no federal tax at all yet, the wealthy are screaming its too much even though the 12.5% is less than some of their secretaries and our children paid. How much is enough? No cain, your no different than the slavers of Africa selling their own people to line their pockets. You and the government want the working man down so you can use him to bail out your corporations, drain his Social Security of $2.5 Trillion and pay the tax bills that your loop holes protect you from paying. You should stick to manipulating women because most of America is not buying it, maybe some one of your moral fiber would have better luck with them.
