music festival in India are a marketing/advertising strategy for brands not one bit about music. The Great Indian October Fest 2014 was one fine example of the same. Shitty line-up on the main-stage, foreign acts get treated like crap, 3 stages so close to each other that it just sounds like grindcore, bad food at the stalls which are obviously overpriced and this time around there were more selfie booths than people at the festival. The visuals were mostly just a giant logo of kingfisher. Given a chance they would make it mandatory for everyone to have their logo painted on peoples faces before entering the festival. and to know that the organizers even encouraged any of this makes me realize that everyones in it just to make a quick buck. hats of to the biggest advertising festival with 10 years of experience in beer pimping.
