my God! jus met with the Pastor of the historic Riverside Church in Harlem. its official: theyre hosting our next Strange Fruit Speaks: 7 Last Words service featuring the last words of black people who have been slain by police, security guards, or vigilantes. its going to be cray! Cornel West has already said hes down to preach. a simple idea God gave to me on the bus ride back from Ferguson -- an idea birthed out of rage and love, an idea we implemented first at Shiloh Baptist in Trenton -- now has a national platform. i am on cloud 99 right now. i need a church fan and a drink lol. shout out to my Morehouse and Princeton brother, friend, and mentor Lukata Mjumbe for initiating the meeting and for working his ass off to help make this a reality. 2015 on fleeeeeeeek!
