my best friends husband has a friend whose dog passed and he is now ready to bring home a new friend. He is active and will walk the dog daily. His past dogs have all been labs from what I understand, so I am guessing he would prefer one of the sporting breeds. But he does not want a puppy, preferring instead a dog that is a little older with no bad habits. Oftentimes there are people that we meet or talk to that have a dog that they can no longer keep for various reasons and they are desperately seeking a good home.
