my condolences to the family members.... At least 10 people are feared dead following an attack by armed raiders at Endui village, Mwingi district in Kitui County. The armed gang raided the remote village at night near Ukasi market at the border of Kitui and Garissa counties. According to County Administration police commander Aden Abdullahi, police were yet to establish the motive of the attack but a team has been dispatched to the area to track down the killers. “Preliminary reports indicate that these raiders were armed and they stormed Endui village at night attacking and killing unsuspecting villagers,” he said. He said many other villagers were injured. Mr Abdullahi, who spoke to the Nation on telephone while heading to the scene, said an advance police team led by Mwingi central district commissioner had been sent to the area to seal escape routes.
