my daughter came down to visit for the holidays and since she isnt into metal detecting I decided we hit a spot on a river here in central TX. that is really low right now with a lot of rock covered sand bars... a few friends of mine have found ancient shark teeth in this area as well as arrow heads .. we saw a lot of these lying around... to me they look fossilized. perhaps someone could id them... the neatest one I think is the whole clam!! its really ornate and is intact. I cannot find info anywhere.... I wander if it has been carved by the Indians... here is a couple pics...
