my dogs are just my dogs ... they arent a breed - they are JUST dogs. I always thought people were paraniod and maybe a little exaggerating when recalling tales of being prejudiced against because of the APPEARANCE of their dog. They say, you dont know until it happens to you. and it turns out, that is true. I got my dogs when they were puppies. I was told they are Plabs (half pit - half lab). The girl dog looks just like a lab and the boy looks like a pit. They both weigh 60ish pounds. My first experience with this prejudice came when the puppies were about 2 months old. A lady was rubbing and petting the tiny boy puppy completely fearless for 2-3 minutes before she asked what kind of dog. Hes a pit mix. -- at which point she cowered and retreated in complete fear and panic. I chalked it up to crazy old lady as just seconds before she practically had her whole hand in his little tiny mouth. I see how people react to my dogs. Showing NO SIGNS of fear toward the lab LOOKING one - but obviously and clearly cower at the site of the pit looking one. I HAVE been scolded for bringing that baby killer on the rail trail. Other non pit dogs have lunged at my leashed dogs - my dogs have never done that to any other dogs - but of course its always the pits fault. The funny part is, the lab looking dog is FAR MORE protective - while the viscuous baby killing looking pit is the sweetest dog Ive ever known! Im not sensitive but I do kinda take these things personally :( I wouldnt have killer anything around MY family! That may be hard to believe, but I love mine as much as you love yours!! When you claim my dogs are dangerous JUST because you dont like the way they look you are showing that you have no idea what youre talking about and youre just regurgitating lies - I know this because no one cowers when they SEE the lab, even though its as much pit as the other LAB! Do what you want with that...
