my friend and mentor Pastor Chuck Hunt, one of the most discerning and anointed for healing people that I have ever known taught me years ago that rejection rejects, rejection resents, rejection retaliates. The cure for rejection is to forgive and pray for those who have done the persecuting. Rejection will argue that it is there to protect from further hurt by building a wall that causes the wounded to keep others out (rejects). It then resents in many forms for example resenting those that seem to never suffer rejection but the truth is that all suffer rejection at some time. It is true that some seem to suffer rejection more than others. If rejection is allowed to produce rejection then the cycle perpetuates itself. Rejection retaliates by bringing rejection to others, taking their pain out on others. Lashing out of the place of rejection causes hurt and wounds to others in an effort some how to set things right and gain justice, to be able to tip the scales in their favor. Rejection seeks revenge and it is not always against the one who caused the original pain but transfers it to others that the person encounters in life. Let God heal rejection in your life and put an end to the cycle. Jesus knows all about rejection and will take it from you and for you. He lets your rejection fall on Himself. He was despised and rejected--a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Is 53:3
