my interview with DELFI Translated version : -How many years do you live in Ireland for? How did you get there and how did you succeed in adaptation in a foreign country ? My dad passed away when i was 4 so i didnt remember much since i was so young but after 4/5 years my mum found someone else and a few years later my mam had my baby sister. When i was 11 my sisters dad committed suicide which was such a hard time for my mum and so hard to see her in so much pain. My mums sister lived in Ireland so she invited her over, so my mam left with my little sister and i had to stay in Lithuania and live there with my mums other sister. If it wasnt hard enough my mum and sister leaving i moved to another school, i didnt really get on with my aunt and rebelled against her and didnt want to study so after a year my mum came and brought me back to Ireland. At first i found it really difficult here as I didnt speak English, didnt know anyone here and had to wait 6 months for the new school term before i could start, so had no friends at all. When i finally started school i was so scared but thankfully i met lovely people who really helped me to get through the difficult times. It thought me to never give up, no matter how difficult it gets and no matter how much you want to give up there is always hope and even if something isnt happening for you right now doesnt mean itll never happen. - What are you doing in life now ? In my last year of school I also attended Vanity X MakeUp Academy, and I graduated this year in May, and received a Diploma in Professional Makeup Artistry. I had to work really hard as I had my upcoming exams in school too. However it all went great, Ive just gotten my results I passed everything and got great news just a few days ago, I got accepted into NUI Maynooth University, this is another big step for me. I was full of emotions this summer I was terrified I wouldnt get the course I really wished for but I got it and Im extremely happy, I will be studying Spanish and Geography which will hopefully lead me to translation studies or travel and tourism. I also work in Wrights Cafe in the evenings and during the day time Id have clients of my own for MakeUp appointments. In my spare time I do a lot of modeling, photoshoots, fashion shows etc . - Who encouraged you to enter the competition ? What thoughts were you having when youve won the crown ? My Mum has been the most supportive person ever she would encourage me to do things..This isnt my first beauty pageant, in 2011 I was offered to Represent my own country which is Lithuania of course, at Miss Ethnic Ireland 2012. Before I was offered I got to work on my very first photoshoot with Monika Foltman who is a photgrapher, she was the one who rang me after the shoot and asked me If I wanted to enter, I said yes - I mean why not ! So after weeks of rehearsals for the final I was announced Miss Ethnic Ireland 2012, I couldnt believe it when my name was called - there was so many lovely girls ! After winning the crown my modeling career has started, Ive been going to radio interviews, different events associated with the pageant..Ive met a lot of talented people that I got to work with. A year later I entered for Miss Multiverse, unfortunately I was too young so I tried this year. - Could you tell us about the content of the competition ? I was just so lucky to be chosen to represent Ireland even thought Im not Irish ! Its an honour. The Miss Multiverse is not just a beauty pageant its also a Tv Reality Program. The Miss Multiverse Reality TV program is broadcasted in large parts of Latin America and the United States. The main objective of the Miss Multiverse pageant is to offer a life changing experience and empowering program. Miss Multiverse will take place in the Dominican Republic - Punta Cana this November, exact dates are TBA. Through the Miss Multiverse journey all delegates will be rewarded with an experience that will last a lifetime and become part of a worldwide network of friends, possibilities, growth and opportunities. The top 6 winners will stay 1 week longer in Dominican Republic for promotion, photos, TV, adventure. The winner will become the main character next to Linda Grandia (The founder of Miss Multiverse) in the TV program season 3, the winner will receive a handmade Swarovski sash, a handmade Swarovski Crown, gifts from their sponsors, 1 year promotion, she returns to the 2015 pageant to be part of the judges. In the past years they took their winners on different trips: China, Venezuela, Ibiza, Poland, Cannes, Madrid. - How are you preparing for the competition ? Are you nervous and what do you expect ? Im in full preparation for the world finals, Im picking out my dresses for the finals, preparing the national costume etc... Also Im organising a fund raising event Im planning on having a fashion show . which would help to raise money for an Orphanage in the Dominican Republic, I want to do this because me and other finalists will be going over to visit the children over there, these children have nothing, so I would love to do something to help them. I am still working on it and trying to see who would like to get involved, Im really determined to make it successful and attract as many high scale professionals as possible. Im not nervous about the whole beauty pageant.. NOT YET. Im just really excited to meet all the finalists from all over the world, and everyone else who will be involved in Miss Multiverse. Especially Linda, shes a such a lovely lady, Im really looking forward to meeting her I think Its going to be one of the best experiences in my life so far, considering Im quite young ! Im very happy.
