my mom is starting to wake up in the ICU!!! they weened her off the sedation and pain meds in order to ween her off of the ventilator/ breathing machine. last night was the most awake i have seen her all week!!! she looked deep into my eyes and i could tell she knew i was there!!! she squeezed my hand and i told her she is in my heart... and i reminisced with her childhood memories like when we used to turn out all of the lights in the house during storms to watch lightning out the window. did a few hours of meditation and tibetan prayers by her bedside last night and at some point she looked over at me and started laughing! i asked her if she was laughing at me & she nodded her head yes! breathing a sigh of relief to finally have these sweet precious moments with her. things seem to be looking up... and even is she still passes i am still so happy to share this time with her now. deep gratitude to all who have been holding us in your prayers, has meant more to me than anything, feeling so blessed right now
