my name is Susan Meisner Bjerke and Kevin and my husband Ken - TopicsExpress

my name is Susan Meisner Bjerke and Kevin and my husband Ken worked together over the years and were friends. We just found out about Kevin passing yesterday and we are heart broken. Kevin was larger than life and lived that way. He always made you feel part of this with his wonderful stories, great laugh, and many hidden talents. Often Ken would get a call Ken, what are you doing? to which Ken would reply not much. Then before you knew it, a party was on either in Sundre or hed scoot to Innisfail and wed do up a fine meal and cocktails. Kevin loved to read a lot of the same authors that I did and each time hed come over wed exchange a few books that wed read and compare notes the next time he came through [I always wondered where he found time to read in his already busy life]. I loved when he would bring his son Tyler with him, he was such a cool little dude and I enjoyed the time spent. I am not a drinker so I had as much fun hanging with Tyler as I did with hubby and Kevin. I shared my first vomit and pepper flav. jelly belly with Tyler ... I had a box full of these things with gross names and flavs. and we cut them in half and share them. OMG they were horrible. Kevin also took time to stop in whether my hubby was home or not to see how I was doing during my cancer treatment. He had a way to make you feel and know that he really did care even if he didnt speak to you or see you often. One of the things [there are to many to mention really] I really appreciated about Kevin was the way he paid attention to a person when they were speaking, and he always made good eye contact. Kevin was honest, true to heart, he pulled you in to his life and always made you feel how incredible you really were ... but then he was pretty incredible too. Both Ken and I will miss this big man with a bigger heart who share all he was openly with us. To his family and loved ones, we are truely sorry for your loss. He leaves us with so many memories and we hope that through sharing them along the way you can find comfort that even though he may be gone in the physical sense, he will always be here in our hearts and memories because of how he lived ... with loving us all.
