my personal take on karma - Karma – I have been giving a great deal of thought to what it is and how it actually works and I was trying to put it into words that made sense for my clients to understand. Here is how I believe karma happens. You hear it almost every day in every situation, “Karma will get them, just be patient, it will happen”.....who is this “Karma”, why will it “get someone” and is it just bad people that get “karma”?? Some people wait for years and years for “Karma” to get the person they think has wronged them, or hurt them or taken from them. They wonder how long it is going to take for this person or that man or that woman, the ex, their boss etc to “get what they deserve” I have been reading Tarot and doing Reiki now for many years now and it amazes me that client after client holds so much hope that the person that has hurt them will “finally get the karma owing to them”. The universe is an amazing thing and we all have lessons to learn, the people that we meet the decisions that we make all seem random at the time but when you look at the overall picture we are all on a journey to “find our true authentic selves”. SO, Karma, why is It that some people wait years and years for it to strike a person, and yet others seem to get “karma” straight away. When I do my readings I explain it this way... Imagine a giant bow and arrow. In your left hand you cradle the actual bow, it is heavy yet balances beautifully in your hand, and with your right hand you pull back the golden string that will cradle the arrow, that fatefull karmic arrow. You have been wronged. You are angry and hurt and cant understand why this person/company/boss/job/ex husband/ex wife etc has hurt you but you know karma will get them. But here is the deal... it cant, that is right, it cant get them yet. Why not..... you see the karmic arrow has not been let loose to fly. You have pulled back the bow and loaded the arrow but you have not yet done the one thing that will set the arrow free. YOU HAVE TO LET IT GO, that is right, how easy does it sound, in order for the karma arrow to hit you must release it. Sounds so simple, but with many of my clients if they “LET IT GO” then what will they talk about, what will they whinge about, if they let the arrow fly free to hit the other person they will no longer have this burden to carry. I have seen people that carry that bow raised and ready to fire for years and years. No wonder they are aching and in pain and cant move on into new relationships, new jobs, new situations, they are weary from holding back the bow with the loaded karmic arrow. So, the question is, how to set the arrow free...... well, it is so simple. First you have to want to move on. You have to have no more negative or narrow minded thoughts about the person the arrow is intended for. That can be hard yakka. When you have been hurt and are feeling low it is much easier to be full of blame and anger and hate but that arrow cannot fly until you LET ALL OF THAT GO. Release the anger, release the blame, release the hate, wish the wrongdoer nothing but the best on his/her/their life journey and if that is not possible, give them no more thought. THEN, AND ONLY THEN, can the KARMIC ARROW be free to fly ......... Believe me, I have seen it time and time again. RELEASE it, FREE yourself from the burden of a heavy bow. AND my last piece of advice, when the arrow finds it mark DO NOT GLOAT, DO NOT SAY “I TOLD YOU SO” or ‘ABOUT TIME”. That little arrow can come from any direction at any time to any body. And, if you truly have released it and let it go, know that the universe has an amazing guidance system and no arrow goes where it is not intended, you should feel FREE the minute, the second you let it all go.
