my quick, loose translation...this foto portrays the kayapó tribe in the amazon region of brazil being physically removed from their home for the construction of an hydroelectric dam. the creation of the dam will flood out 1 million acres of pure forest (an area larger than the panama canal) killing all animals, plant life, and any remaining of the 40,000 humans who inhabit the communities in it´s wake. this continues, despite numerous protests and over 600,000 signatures against it. in short, another regular day on the planet.
