my take on BMB. Bhag Milkha Bhag for those who thought i did one MIB! I loved the film. i loved every bit of it. i had read reviews stating the songs and sonam were not needed, but methinks, they offered what is called "comic relief". it was imperative for the narrative to come through. the man is an inspiration, much like secretariat. not that i mean to compare him to a horse, but the zest to win is the same. its incredible what man can achieve when he puts his mind to it. the direction and the camera work in the running scenes gave me goosies. simply because they never lost the plot, even though Milkha evidently did. what i liked best was his run post his closure in Pakistan. whats amazing is his khitaab of "the flying sikh" was given by a pakistani general. how often we ignore or take for granted the lil things we have. the desire to wear the blazer which is earned took on a new meaning when i saw the movie. the acting, i cried. everytime they showed the interaction with his sister, i howled, saying nothing, the two characters said it all. hats off to Farhan Akhtar for his trail blazing performance. for me, this movie goes into must get DVD for my collection list. im inspired. truly inspired.
